Whew, what a Sunday.

Today was....well, here's how I described it to Hyrum in a text:

Kind of weird. Eli had a meltdown before church because he’s tired, and I ended up forgetting stuff for Oma but she said it was fine 🥰. Eli showed up in skinny jeans that took him 10 minutes to get on and crocs,...but we made it more or less in tact, although emotionally scarred. Forunately, our ward is so completely non-judgmental that wasn't an issue.

Liesl ended up wearing an almost see through dress so I had to give her the undershirt I was wearing so iI felt a little scandalous (tmi?). Maia and I got into an argument about her use of the kids phone on the way to church—and she still resented me for thinking a ball was in bounds in volleyball last night when she disagreed with me. That was fun! On pondering it further, she's not too bad on the phone for a teenager (is that an apt comparison to base judgement on?), so I gave her back her phone privileges after 17.5 minutes and chalked it up to "oh, well." In primary the younger class was going COOCOO so singing time was a riot. We covered a lot of songs and did a lot of wiggling—one little three year old was adorably engaged the whole time and Penelope, Iliana, and Kaden were the opposite—although they DID end up sitting in their chairs by the end— chairs that were upside down with the legs in the air, but technically in their chairs and not running around. After a quick seven minute power nap on the floor of the long neglected mother's lounge, I covered church choir right after church with six people—seven after the missionary joined, and that was lovely. Really, it was. We also are doing an Easter song with some of the kids from primary and it’s super beautiful. Then I took off to Tova’s for a quick visit with Xai right after church…leaving the house something of a train wreck after two performances, dress rehearsal week and a cast party and sports night—TOO much. But this week is slated to be CHILL. I’m going to the temple on Tuesday with Xai and my parents, and then NOTHING. Whew. Les Mis practice is over, but I’m honestly really sad about that one being done. I uploaded the video of one of the acts on youtube this morning before leaving church (that was a number one priority). Apparently, focusing on that meant forgetting my toothbrush but Tova is used to that and has extras. And spray on deodrant. (Awesome girl.)

We went to the interfaith concert and it was surprisingly amazing 😂. And the we set up their tv while smelling brownies, chocolate chip cookie Oreo Ben created. We found some hilarious commentator on YouTube and I laughed so hard I may or may not have wet myself. (I plead the fifth and a fifty year old thirteen delivery bladder.)

It was totally worth it. I brought an extra change of clothes and I have not laughed that hard in a LONG time. (https://youtu.be/iHaVT8bBuzI?si=i-kMMTRX26m0O2Ny Don't judge. I was tired.)

Now I am in a nice cozy room after taking a Benadryl (thanks, allergies) and trying to write in my journal as my own commentator, Xai, is talking non-stop.  Love it.  We're bed buddies. I'll totally get my revenge when I snore or talk in my sleep.
